Rebecca Loos banned from Harrods party (Go To Top)

          London: Harrods boss Mohamed Al Fayed banned Rebecca Loos from a party at his store to avoid upsetting the Beckhams. Rebecca, who claims that she bedded David Beckham when she was his personal assistant in Madrid, had been invited to the bash to launch a jewellery range, according to the Mirror. However, Loos, a former receptionist at the top London store, was told two hours before it began that she could not come. Rebecca, 26, said of Fayed, "He apparently wanted to show how friendly he is with Victoria and David, but maybe he has forgotten I was very friendly with David too." Interestingly, Loos has been invited to a string of hi-profile events after her sex claims, which Becks has branded as ludicrous. Meanwhile, Harrods said that Fayed stepped in after seeing that the staff had invited the scandal queen of the decade for the jewellery launch. "Mr.Al Fayed is great friends with Victoria and David. They are also great friends of Harrods and very good customers," the report quoted a spokesman as saying.

          New York: While pop diva Britney Spears is busy taking Europe by storm, a 25-year old man was arrested for entering her father's Lousiana house. According to E-Online, Canadian Daniel Lachance has been held in jail on an 80,000 pounds bond on the charges of trespassing and stalking. This is the second time Lachance has been arrested for stalking the 22-year old singer. He was trying to get in touch with the singer who doesn't stay with her father too often, but has several homes nearby. Meanwhile, Britney is preparing for her two-day stint in Scotland, which is a part of her on-going Europe tour. The "Slave" singer, who is currently performing in Glasgow, was reportedly spotted unwinding with friends at a ten-pin bowling alley in Lanckshire.

          London: "I am a Celebrity" star Jordan and singer boyfriend Peter Andre recently hit a photographer after he tried to put a camera up her skirt, according to the Sun. As the model and her boyfriend singer Peter Andre arrived at the "I am a Celebrity" reunion bash, the photographer was lying on the floor outside her car, trying to get a dirty picture. Jordan is reported to have screamed, dragged him to his feet and thumped him hard in the face with her handbag. "I take care getting out of cars or a sneaky picture will haunt me. But I wasn't ready for a photographer to lie in the street to get a dirty picture. I hope he bruises easily," she later said.

No takers for free money from British bank (Go To Top)

          London: A British bank was shocked to find that it could not even give away money. According to Ananova, the branch of Barclays Bank, in Croydon, London, put up a sign offering a five pound note to anyone who stepped inside to collect it, but the bank officials revealed, that no one took up the offer. The experiment, carried out for two hours one day in January, was to help Barclays understand what engages customers as they walk past branches. "The basic conclusion that we came to was that people would much rather look at shops that are selling dresses than financial services. Obviously we are always looking for better ways to engage with our customers," the report quoted a bank spokesperson as saying.

Spice Girls planning a comeback (Go To Top)

          New York: All ears to this. After 'Take That', now Spice Girls are planning a comeback. According to Hello magazine, Mel B, better known as Scary Spice, has claimed that the girls are hoping to pen a new song in the not too distant future. "I think they are going to release a greatest hits album, and hopefully we will all get together and write a song for it," she said. But the singer admits Spice fans may have to wait a little for the release, because she and her former bandmates are all busy with their own projects for the time being. "We keep on talking about it, but everybody has branched off to do their own thing," said the 28-year-old, who is currently enjoying a successful stint on Broadway in the musical Rent.

Mel Gibson gets set for another epic (Go To Top)

          New York: After furore-raising the "Passion Of The Christ", Mel Gibson is all set for another historical epic. And this time it is on female warrior Boudica, according to the Star magazine. The Oscar-winning actor will soon begin the production of the film titled "Warrior". The film will trace the life of Boudica, a peasant girl who becomes a Celtic military leader and unites the Celtic tribes to take on the Roman Empire to avenge the death of her husband and child.

Keanu Reeves best action hero (Go To Top)

          New York: Hollywood star Keanu Reeves will be honoured for his efforts in movies like "The Matrix" triology, "Speed" and "Chain Reaction". According to the Star magazine, the actor will be awarded best action movie star at this year's World Stunt Awards. Carmen Electra and Dennis Hopper will host the event, which will be aired on Spike TV on May 26.

Jude Law, Zeta Jones among the world's 50 beauties (Go To Top)

          Washington: Hollywood stars Jude Law and Catherine Zeta Jones figure in the People Magazine's list 50 of the world's most good looking stars alongside Cameron Diaz and Brad Pitt. According to Ananova, the model daughters of rocker Keith Richards, Alexandra and Theodora, are also on the list. Oscar- winning actress Halle Berry made the list for the eighth time, drawing level with all-time record-holder Julia Roberts. Others on the list are Academy Award winners Charlize Theron, Nicole Kidman, Hilary Swank and Drew Barrymore. Singers Beyonce Knowles and Outkast's Andre 3000 also make the cut.
