'Passion'
to be screened in Israel
New
York: Oscar winner Mel Gibson's film "The Passion of
the Christ" may finally be screened in Israel after a Tel
Aviv theatre decided to buck the prevailing anti-Passion
sentiment. According to IMDb, the controversial film was
earlier shunned by film distributors in Israel. Various
groups have asserted that the film could promote anti-Semitism
and members of the Israeli Knesset have urged that it should
be banned. However, a spokesperson for the Tel Aviv Cinemateque
has said that the theater finally decided to show the film
because it received numerous calls expressing curiosity
about it.

Washington:
"Pirates of The Caribbean" star Orlando Bloom had to
be rushed off to safety along with rest of the crew after
suspected terror attacks on the sets of his new movie. According
to IMDb, the star who is currently in Morocco for the shooting
of Ridley Scott's movie "Kingdom of Heaven," had to stop
filming after blasts were heard. However, when the source
of the blasts was identified as a fire containing three
bottles of liquid, the Hollywood heartthrob returned to
the sets imidiately. "A smoldering fire was discovered among
storage equipment, we're still waiting to hear the results
of the investigation," said an insider.
