Loos overshadows Posh at 'Kill Bill II' premiere (Go To Top)

London: Rebecca Loos attempted to overshadow the glitzy galaxy of Hollywood stars when she turned up at the movie premiere of 'Kill Bill II'. According to Ananova, just 24 hours after Victoria Beckham stepped out at a showbiz bash with husband David, Rebecca hit back with her own dazzling appearance on the red carpet. Rebecca, who claims to have had an affair with the England captain and Real Madrid star made a surprise appearance at the screening of the Uma Thurman starrer revenge saga. Interestingly, Uma Thurman and Daryl Hannah were billed as the stars of the premiere, but it was the scandal-friendly Rebecca who stole the limelight. Rebecca posed happily for dozens of photographers outside the Empire cinema in London's Leicester Square. She looked glamorous in a pale turquoise mini-dress that showed off her tanned legs and her long brown hair was tied in a bun, adds the report. However, Rebecca refused to speak to journalists, sweeping past them in the company of two female friends. She was a last minute addition to the guest list for the screening of the Quentin Tarantino movie. Rebecca has continued to repeat her claims that she had an affair with Beckham when she was working as his personal assistant. The soccer superstar has continuously dismissed her claims as ludicrous. Meanwhile, Rebecca's publicist, Max Clifford, has revealed that she has so far made 800,000 pounds from her sensational story.

Beck's latest hairstyle beats his sex scandals (Go To Top)

Sydney: David Beckham seized the front pages of all of Britain's popular newspapers by changing his hairstyle. According to the Herald Sun, the Real Madrid and England soccer star's hair exerts a peculiar fascination in Britain, and each style change is attentively covered. He had recently worn his hair long, but other variations have included a mohawk, spikes and cornrows. Beckham, who is beset by continuing allegations of extra-marital flings, appeared in London with a freshly shaven scalp, attracting maximum attention to yet another show of marital harmony with wife Victoria. The front pages of the Sun, the nation's biggest-selling daily, and the Daily Star showed Beckham planting a kiss on the forehead of his beaming wife. The Daily Mirror fronted a picture of Victoria looking adoringly at her husband, while the Daily Mail and the Daily Express preferred the couple striking a fashionable pose.

The report says that the celebrity couple's appearance at a private party at the Royal Albert Hall in London smothered coverage of a second televised interview with Rebecca Loos, Beckham's former personal assistant, who claims they had a 10-day fling. Beckham has called her story ludicrous. The Beckhams have been publicly smiling and are now partying in London, since the story broke two weeks ago. The Daily Mail devoted an inside page to five pictures of the couple posing, under a sceptical headline: "So, is Posh trying too hard?" Loos, in contrast, got a little attention for her live interview on the Richard and Judy TV show, adds the report. She had said in the show that she wouldn't have had a fling with Beckham if his wife had settled with him in Spain after he transferred to Real Madrid. "I feel that if there hadn't been a gap in that bed, I wouldn't have been in it," the report quoted Loos as saying.

The rocker himself confesses that he is a difficult person to be with. When asked whether he was sad that the relationship was over, he said: "A bit, yes. It's a shame, but you have to go on.           London: A new report has revealed that more than 100,000 elderly people are beaten up by their children, nurses or care home workers in England. According to The Mirror, OAP abuse is a secret scandal, ignored by police and social workers, said the report by MPs, who are calling for tough action against offenders. They said the authorities need to start treating "elder abuse" as seriously as child abuse. The report estimates that 500,000 over 65s in England are being abused at any one time. Most reported cases concern neglect, over-medication of care home patients and financial abuse. But an estimated 20 percent is physical abuse, with the elderly being kicked, punched and slapped. Liberal Democrat MP Paul Burstow, who helped compile the Commons report, said, "This must be a wake-up call to a complacent Government. Elder abuse is still a taboo and all too often it is a case of 'out of sight, out of mind' when it comes to the elderly."
