to Posh Spice (Go

Washington:
Victoria Beckham is to get a deeply romantic present
in the form of a diamond-studded eternity ring from her
scandal-plagued husband David on her birthday. The 'This
Groove' singer, who turns 30 this Saturday, has spent the
past few weeks fending off claims that her Real Madrid player
spouse has bedded a number of women behind her back. Therefore,
in an attempt to prove his devotion to his loyal wife, David
has had the stunning piece custom made by jewellers in Madrid,
Spain's Barrio de Salamanca shopping district. Sources have
also said that the ring bears a romantic inscription that
reads, "I will love you forever," with a diamond for every
word. "We were really surprised when Beckham came to us,
but he has very good taste and was very specific. To receive
a gift like that makes Victoria a very lucky woman," rate
the music quoted an insider as saying.
Rebecca Loos has xxx proof (Go

Washington:
The woman at the centre of the David Beckham sex scandal
has revealed that she can prove that she slept with Beckham
by describing distinctive marks on his xxx. Rebecca Loos,
26, who worked as a personal assistant to Beckham when he
transferred to Real Madrid, has said that if the soccer
superstar presses ahead with legal action against her, she
will reveal the details to the court. Loos has, however,
maintained that she will not provide the proof to the media.
"There's something I know about him, an intimate part of
his body that I think only women who've been in bed with
him would know. So, if they want to take me to court I could
easily stand up and say, 'Well...'" But when Burley asked
if Beckham was circumcised, Loos replied: "I'm not going
into that. I'm not talking about that. If I do ever need
to talk about that it'll be in court, not on TV," imdb quoted
a vocal Loos as saying. Meanwhile, Beckham and the former
Spice Girl continue to deny Loos' story, describing it as
ludicrous and baseless.
Johnny
Depp is Hollywood's dark horse (Go
To Top)
Sydney:
He's one star with no hang-ups, someone who doesn't
fancy himself as being one. But nevertheless he is one in
his own right. He is Johnny Depp, christened as the new
King of Hollywood after Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse
of the Black Pearl passed the magical 408 million dollar
mark at the box office. But he remains as humble as ever
oblivious of his iconic status. "I never wanted to build
a movie-star career. "I don't even understand that kind
of thinking. If anything, mine has been a career of failures.
I think I'm getting all this attention right now because
people feel sorry for me. I'm an underdog. Other actors
look at me and think, 'That poor bastard is still hacking
away at it'," the Daily Telegraph quotes him as saying.
Depp's latest film is the Stephen King-inspired thriller
Secret Window. He plays a tormented writer living in an
isolated cabin fighting writer's block and assorted demons.
"I am glad I did every single role, My career was never
about commercial success. I was in it for the long haul.
I decided early on to be patient and wait for the roles
that interested me, not the roles that would advance my
career. I never wanted to be remembered for being a star.
It wasn't that I was rejecting Hollywood; I was rejecting
the idea of being a product," he added.

all their catchy eighties classics. After a two-minute standing
ovation, the band belted out their hits, including A View
To A Kill, Ordinary World, Save A Prayer, Hungry Like The

Karachi too to have Lahore's 'Food Street'
(Go

Karachi:
If Lahore has its famous "Food Street", Karachi can't
be far behind. The Karachi Port Trust (KPT) has reportedly
agreed to permit a private consortium to establish a "Food
Street" similar to the one in Lahore on the abandoned Napier
Mole Bridge, off the prime port area. According to the News,
the Karachi Food Street will be developed on an abandoned
bridge overlooking the port area and the sea channel, promising
to combine a unique scenic beauty with mouth- watering cuisine.
However, unlike the food streets in Lahore and Islamabad,
the Karachi Food Street will be a complete project - with
facilities for eating, recreation, entertainment and parking.
While
this unique project awaits government approval following
the go-ahead given by the KPT Board, ambitious plans are
underway to transform the 'Native Jetty Pull', as it is
commonly known, into a gourmet joint. Plans include setting
up food stalls from across all sections of Karachi's society.
The project consists of 25,000-sq. ft. for retail and restaurant
court, public viewing stands and a souvenir shop. It will
also include an arena style re-development under the Jinnah
Flyover, the magnificent set of flyovers built with Chinese
help that helps facilitate traffic from the port areas.
The Grand Lesuire Corporation (GLC), which is part of the
Arfeen Group, a local based consortium, is expected to develop
the site to international standards. The GLC will develop
the Food Court site on BoT basis for 20 years on a royalty
payment amounting to Rs.350 million. There are also plans
to have the area landscaped, complete with a fountain. Parking
facilities will also be developed so that patrons can park
in safety and then access this unique facility.

snubs Anna Kournikova! (Go

Washington:
Pop star Enrique Iglesias has broken his tennis sensation
girlfriend Anna Kournikova's heart by scrapping plans to
sing a duet with her. The 'Rhythm Divine' singer, 28, had
seriously considered allowing the Russian beauty to join
him onstage in her native Moscow later this month, but the
hunky Latino has since decided that his image may be tarnished
by the move. Enrique's move has devastated Anna and she
is deeply hurt by her sweetheart's snub. "She wanted to
sing a surprise duet in Moscow when Enrique performs there
at the end of April. She had really set her heart on it
and hoped it would turn out to be a triumphant home-coming
for her. Enrique did consider the idea. He loves Anna and
thought having her onstage would keep her happy. But then
people around him pointed out that it might look a bit naff
to have her up there with him, " rate the music quoted a
close source as saying. "Anna got quite emotional and took
it all personally. For Enrique the decision was about his
career image, not his personal life," added the source.
The Darkness craves for British curry (Go

Washington:
British rockers 'The Darkness' are missing curry so
much on their American tour that they are flying the entire
staff of their favourite Indian restaurant to the States
to cook for them. The 'I Believe In A Thing Called Love'
band have spent the past few weeks touring America but have
suffered without their favourite curry dish. Frontman Justin
Hawkings believes that his plan to bring the staff of Archway,
north London's 'Red Rose Tandoori' is one of the best things
the band have every done. "It started out as a vague craving
and then built up. I started fantasising and dreaming about
this particular curry house I used to eat out at in north
London," rate the music quoted Hawkings as saying. "We're
trying to fly the restaurant boss and his whole team out.
We want a huge banquet for all the band and crew. It just
seems like the rock and roll thing to do. There's just nothing
to compare with British curry here in the States," added
the dashing frontman.
