Jumbo Savari marks Mysore Dasara's grand finale

     Mysore: Amidst cheers of thousands of spectators, Jumbo Savari, the famous grand procession marked the final day of the Dasara festival at Mysore on Monday. Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy offered prayers to the deity of the Goddess Chamundeswari, which was placed in a howdah bedecked in front of the Mysore Palace. Lakhs of people from across the world thronged the city to witness the event. Former scion of the Mysore loyal family, Srikanta Datta Narasimha Raja Wodeyar and Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister B S Yadiyurappa present among other dignitaries present on the occasion. Many tableaux representing the culture of the state formed a part of the procession. Mysore Dasara is celebrated as Nadahabba or state festival, which reflects the culture of Karnataka. Dasara in Mysore is world famous and over a million tourists arrived witnessed the event this year.
