French guitarist Louis Bertignac performs in New Delhi

     New Delhi: As 'poll fever' came to an end, Rock fever took on New Delhi as Louis Bertignac, French guitarist, performed here last evening. Bertignac enthralled the audience that comprised of both Indians and foreigners. Bertignac was the guitarist with the legendary French rock group 'Telephone', referred to as the French equivalent of the Rolling Stones. The band split in 1986, after which Bertignac launched his solo career. Later, Bertignac considered reforming the group but this never happened due to contractual difficulties. The concert was part of the world tour that Bertignac began on April 17 in London. He is yet to visit Nepal, Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Honduras, New York and Canada. Accompanying Bertignac was drummer, Felix Sabal Lecco also known as 'Mister Groove'. Bertignac also produced the now French first lady Carla Bruni's first music album when she started her career as a singer. Bertignac's first solo album 'Longtemps', a long time, was released in February 2005, ten of the twelve songs in the album were written Bruni.
