'Koi
Mil
Gaya':
The
extra-terrestrial
flies
from
Hollywood
to
Bollywood!
New
Delhi,
Aug
3:
After
the
phenomenal
success
of
the
film,
'Kaho
Na
Pyaar
Hai',
the
talented
threesome
of
producer/director
Rakesh
Roshan,
music
director
Rajesh
Roshan
and
lead
actor
Hrithik
Roshan
have
come
together
again
to
create
celluloid
history
with
the
movie,
'Koi
Mil
Gaya'.
Bollywood's
first
science
fiction
movie,
complete
with
whizzing
spacecraft
and
friendly
aliens,
will
aim
to
break
new
ground
in
an
industry
known
for
its
melodramas
and
mushy
romances.
'Koi
Mil
Gaya',
that
is
set
for
release
next
week,
features
one
of
India's
most
popular
stars,
Hrithik
Roshan,
who
plays
the
role
of
an
adult
whose
mental
abilities
have
not
grown
beyond
those
of
an
11-year-old.
He
accidentally
establishes
contact
with
aliens
while
playing
around
with
a
computer
left
behind
by
his
dead
father,
a
scientist
obsessed
with
extra-terrestrial
life.
"If
four
and
five
year
old
children
know
about
aliens
then
I
thought
that
it
is
the
right
time
to
launch
a
film
and
move
ahead
than
making
regular
formula
films
with
love
stories,
love
triangles
and
revenge.
So
we
are
just
taking
a
chance,"
said
Rakesh
Roshan,
producer
and
director
of
the
film
who
is
also
Hrithik's
father.
The
filmmaker,
who
has
several
hits
to
his
credit,
said
he
was
willing
to
risk,
showing
his
son
prancing
around
as
an
11-year-
old,
rather
than
the
cliched
muscle-flexing
romantic
hero
that
has
won
Hrithik
scores
of
hysterical
female
fans.
The
visual
effects
of
the
film
have
been
created
by
Marc
Kolbe
and
Craig
Mumma
who
have
been
involved
with
Hollywood
hits
such
as
Independence
Day,
Godzilla
and
Spy
Kids.
The
hazel-eyed
Hrithik
said
playing
an
11-year-old
though
challenging
was
not
difficult,
as
the
child
inside
him
responded
automatically
to
the
role.
"I
basically
looked
at
my
childhood,
looked
very
deep
inside
me
and
found
somewhere
a
child.
I
took
a
lot
(of
inspiration)
from
my
childhood.
So
it's
an
extension
of
my
own
childhood.
So
that
is
what
I
basically
did,
looked
very
deep
inside
of
me,"
he
said.
The
gargantuan
home
production
of
the
Roshans,
'Koi
Mil
Gaya',
is
aimed
at
all
audiences
and
is
mounted
on
an
expensive
budget.
The
film
is
billed
to
be
the
milestone
a
"different"
film
of
the
career
of
the
Roshans.
