Gunaah: Except for Bipasha ...

Starring Bipasha Basu and Dino Morea (both were together in Raaz) this Mahesh Bhatt thriller disappoints as a love story and action film.

Imagine Bipasha Basu, playing a cop, falling in love with a criminal, a murderer in fact. She catches up with Dino and throes him behind the bars, but is finally caught by his charms. A most unconvincing story and badly narrated. But Bipasha's performance is quite good.

American Desi

A film from Hollywood about NRI youngsters' life. What's it doing in India? It may afford a distorted glimpse of US-born children of Indian origin struggling to be Americans on their school campus, though the real ones are hardly to be seen in the movie. There is Kris Reddy who hates 'aarti' - an Indian mother's way to send off her boy to school - and chicken tikka masala - the world famous curry NRIs are known for.

Reddy's cup of woe is full when the girl he falls with insists on being typically Indian, which she was. So he learns 'Bhangra' and 'Garba' out of love for her! Poor boy.
