during fog
New
Delhi: The Directorate General of Civil Aviation
(DGCA) has taken additional measures to deal with
airline operations during fog. In order to strengthen
the continued regulatory coordination, Nodal officers
of DGCA are coordinating with officials of DIAL, AAI
and airlines on daily basis to review the schedule
operations of domestic airlines during fog period.
In the event of delays, DIAL is being directed ensuring
all passenger amenities. Depending on weather, airlines
are rescheduling the flights on daily basis and informing
the passengers well in advance through their call
centers and SMS. AAI has been advised to give priority
departure clearance to flights operating to critical
airfields viz. Allahabad, Jammu, Kanpur, Leh, Pathankot,
Srinagar, etc. which have sunset restriction. Service
providers have been advised to keep the airport equipment
serviceable. Daily information is being obtained from
airlines with regard to rostering of Cat III complaint
