AI emergency landing blocks IGI Airport runway
New
Delhi: The runway at the Indira Gandhi International
Airport was blocked this morning after an Air India-349
Shanghai-Bangkok-Delhi flight's landing gear collapsed
Reports said all 169 passengers disembarked safely
following the plane's emergency landing. The runway
was cleared for the flight to land at 6:26 a.m. As
it entered the taxi way, its front wheels skidded
and got stuck in soft soil, airport sources said.
All arrivals and departures were delayed for sometime
because of the temporary mishap.
