Air Deccan sends 11 tonnes of relief materials to quake-hit Kashmir

     Bangalore: India's low cost passenger airliner Air Deccan today sent 11 tonnes of relief material to Srinagar as part of the Indian Governments ongoing relief efforts for the earthquake ravaged state. An Airbus A 320 with only relief material departed for Srinagar today at 12:30 p.m. from New Delhi's Palam Airport. Air Deccan officials were present to ensure proper off loading of the supplies. A compnay release said that the special flight had been commissioned to take only relief material for the disaster. "The aircraft taking the supplies, is a brand new Airbus A 320 and its gives us immense gratification that the maiden flight that the Airbus is taking would be for this noble cause," the release said.
