NEW DELHI: The smartphone giant, Samsung, has delivered on its promise. It unveiled its Galaxy Fold magic on Wednesday in San Francisco. Priced at a whopping $1,980, the machine will be available April 26 on. It will be launched in India too
then although the Indian price is undecided as yet.
It comes in four 'galactic' colours: Cosmic Black, Martian Green, Astro Blue
and Space Silver. And everything else is there too as far as your imagination
can stretch. It's innovation at its excellence! The launch took place at their
Unpacked Event at San Francisco's Bill Graham Civic Auditorium.
The Galaxy Fold device will have the luxury of a host of six cameras or, a 'camera for every angle!'
Samsung claims a powerful smartphone and a tablet in a single 4.6-inch display.'
That can easily be called a two-in-one marvel. A sophisticated hinge system
unfolds the screen into a hitech Infinity Flex Display of 7.3-inch tablet-sized
slate, presenting a seamless elegant look, a tantalizing transition, that hides
the fold underneath.
The Galaxy Fold comes with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of on-board storage, apart from the six cameras.
A superb functionality of the machine is that the Galaxy Fold is capable of
running three applications at the same time. They are YouTube, WhatsApp and
web browser, apart from a tie-up with Instagram for programme integration.
The celebration coincides with the 10th anniversary of their first smartphone,
the Galaxy. Four new smartphone models, including the Samsung Galaxy S10, the
S10+ and the S10e, were also unveiled on the occasion.
