NEW DELHI: The body of an American citizen was found in a room of the Premium Plaza Lounge of the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi on Monday. He has been identified as one Ian Andrew.

The man, aged 52, had arrived from Coimbatore by an Air India flight at around 4 am and checked in to the room. At 10:45 the police was informed by the caretaker that nobody was opening the door.The police on arrival opened the door with a duplicate key and found him dead on his bed.

There were no external injuries and his wife, said to be in Australia currently, and the US embassy have been informed about the death. The body was sent to the Safdarjung hospital for post-mortem examination.
