| AI directive to crew: Say 'Jai Hind' after every announcement |
March 4, 2019
NEW DELHI: Air India on Monday asked its crew to say "Jai Hind" at the end of every announcement on board.
"With immediate effect, all are required to announce "Jai Hind" at the end
of every announcement after a slight pause and with much fervour," the order
said.
The directive came as Ashwani Lohani took charge as Chairman and Managing Director
of Air India a second time. A retired bureaucrat, he was re-appointed the Chairman
and Managing Director (CMD) of the national carrier Air India on February 13.
Lohani held the position for around two years from 2015. In August 2017, he
was named the Chairman to the Railway Board.
Meanwhile, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Tuesday
she tweeted, "Little surprise that with General Elections around the corner,
the josh of patriotism hasn't even spared the skies."
