Haryana Governor Satyadeo Narain Arya, Congress leader Manish Tewari test covid positive; ex-Minister OP Jain dies
While Haryana Governor Satyadeo Narain Arya had breathing problem, Congress leader Manish Tewari complained of fever. Meanwhile, former State Minister OP Jain, 72, died of covid in a hospital in Delhi. Congress leader Ahmed Patel, Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh and MP Sachin Pilot are also suffering from covid.

CHANDIGARH, Nov 16: Haryana Governor Satyadeo Narain Arya and Congress leader Manish Tewari tested positive for covid on Monday. The 81-year old Satyadeo has been admitted in the ICU in a private hospital in Mohali in Punjab.

"His condition is stable," a hospital source told reporters. Haryana Chief Minister ML Khattar in a tweet wished Arya speedy recovery.

Earlier, the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala, other ministerial colleagues and Haryana Assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta had contracted coronavirus infection and recovered.

Meanwhile, former Minister OP Jain died of covid in a hospital in Delhi. Jain, 72, was admitted to a hospital in Panipat from where he was shifted to Delhi. Jain was Minister in the Bansi Lal Government of 1996.

In New Delhi, Lok Sabha MP from Sri Anandpur Sahib, former Union Minister and Congress spokesperson Manish Tewari also has tested positive for covid.

Manish Tewari tweeted on Monday, "I have tested positive for COVID -19 today afternoon. I got up with mild fever around 2 AM last night. Got myself tested first thing in the morning. Two parallel Tests. No other symptoms so far. All those who have been in contact with me over the past few days are advised caution."

It was earlier reported that senior Congress leader Ahmed Patel has been admitted to the ICU in Medanta hospital in Gurgaon with covid.

On Sunday, Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh also tested positive for coronavirus.

Lok Sabha MP Sachin Pilot has also been diagnosed with coronavirus.
