CBSE declares Class XII results: Pass percentage 99.37; Options open
The examination could not be held because of covid and the CBSE had to evolve a new internal assessment based on scores in previous school tests. The pass percentage is 99.37 against last year's 88.8 and 83.4 of 2019.

NEW DELHI, July 30: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the results of Class XII 2021 at 2 pm on Friday. The results are online at https://cbseresults.nic.in as well as https://results.digitallocker.gov.in

The examination was scheduled to be held in May but due to covid pandemic the usual in-person system was cancelled and instead an alternative evaluation scheme based on the scores of previous internal school/board exams was evolved. The board's formula was 40:30:30 for Classes 12 (pre-boards or mid-term exams), 11 (final exam marks) and 10 (board exam results).

The results of 13,04,561 students were declared. The results of 65,184 students are under process. This year, 99.37% students have passed. Last year it was 88.8% and in 2019 it was 83.4%. This year only 6,149 students are listed under the compartment category whereas last year 87,650 students had compartment.

There is no revaluation but students wanting can ask for a recalculation of marks. Those wishing to sit in an examination can do so as the CBSE will hold an optional full-scale written examination “when conditions are conducive for holding the examinations”

Over 70,000 students have secured above 95%, up from 3.24% last year to 5.37% this year. 1,50,152 have got marks in the 90 -95 per cent range. The pass percentage among male students is 99.13%. Last year their pass percentage was 86.19%. Girls have performed better than boys this year with 99.67% of the total girl students clearing the exam. Kendriya Vidyalayas registered 100% pass. Last year, it was 98.62%. 0.47% students numbering 6,149 have got compartment against last year's 87,000.

The results are now available on DigiLocker too. To get the results, go to ttps://results.digitallocker.gov.in/cbseXII2021.html

The Delhi region registered 99.84% pass percentage. The Directorate of Education congratulated the winners: "Congratulations to all the students on passing Class 12th exam with flying colours. This year wasn't easy but you all did an amazing job. Well done. We wish you very best for your future."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted: "The Batch which appeared for the Class XII Boards this year did so under unprecedented circumstances. The education world witnessed many changes through the year gone by. Yet, they adapted to the new normal and gave their best. Proud of them!... " "Congratulations to my young friends who have successfully passed their Class XII CBSE examinations. Best wishes for a bright, happy and healthy future."
