With passing western disturbances and their induced
upper air cyclonic circulations, isolated to scattered rain/thundershower accompanied
by squall is likely in northwest and adjoining central India during the next 3-4
days. Maximum temperatures over these regions are likely to remain below normal/near
normal and there is no possibility of development of heat wave conditions in these
regions during the next 5 days. East and northeastern parts of the country are
likely to experience isolated to scattered rain/thundershower accompanied by squall
during the next 2-3 days. The current meteorological analysis suggests rainfall
activity is likely to increase over extreme south Peninsula and Andaman & Nicobar
islands after 48 hours. The prevailing heat wave conditions over parts of coastal
Andhra Pradesh will abate from tomorrow onwards. The highest maximum temperature
of 44.4°C in the country was recorded at Gannavaram (Andhra Pradesh). Isolated
rain/thundershower is likely in south Haryana, Delhi and west Uttar Pradesh during
the next 24 hours and in a few places thereafter; isolated rain/thundershower
is likely in the rest of the region; rain/thundershower is likely in a few places
in west Bengal, Sikkim and Orissa; isolated rain/thundershower is likely in the

Nicobar islands during the next 48 hours and increase thereafter; isolated rain/thundershower
is likely in Andaman islands, south Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Lakshadweep during
the next 48 hours and increase thereafter; isolated rain/thundershower is likely
in east Rajasthan during the next 24 hours and in a few places thereafter; isolated
duststorm/thunderstorm is likely over the rest Rajasthan; isolated rain/thundershower
is likely in Gujarat from tomorrow onwards; isolated rain/thundershower is likely
in Chhattisgarh and north Madhya Pradesh;
and,
mainly dry weather in the rest of the country. WARNING
