A feeble western disturbance is likely to cause
isolated to scattered rain/thundershower in Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh
from tomorrow onwards. Heat wave conditions are prevailing in some parts of Jammu
& Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and north Rajasthan. In view of likely
rain/thunderstorm activity from tomorrow onwards some respite is expected from
hot weather conditions in these regions after 24 hours. Heat wave conditions are
also prevailing in coastal areas of Orissa, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. They
are likely to continue during next 2-3 days. Highest maximum temperature of 46.2°C
in the country was recorded at Hissar (Haryana ). Isolated
rain/thundershower is likely in Jammu & Kashmir during the next 24 hours and scattered
thereafter; isolated rain/thundershower is likely in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand
from tomorrow onwards; isolated duststorm/thunderstorm is likely in the rest of
the region; rain/thundershower is likely in a few places in West Bengal and Sikkim;
isolated rain/thundershower is likely in Jharkhand and north Orissa during the
next 24 hours and mainly dry weather thereafter; rain/thundershower is likely
in a few places in Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh; isolated rain/thundershower
is likely in the rest of the region; rain/thundershower is likely in a few places
in Andaman & Nicobar islands; isolated rain/thundershower is likely in south Tamil
Nadu, Kerala and Lakshadweep; isolated duststorm is likely in Rajasthan; isolated
rain/thundershower is likely in Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha and East Madhya Pradesh
during the next 24 hours and mainly dry weather thereafter;
and,
mainly dry weather in the rest of the country. .
