     The current meteorological analysis suggests that the maximum temperatures are likely to increase over Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Orissa, Chhattisgarh and north Andhra Pradesh during the next 2-3 days. Heat wave conditions prevailed over some parts of north Rajasthan and isolated pockets of Punjab, Haryana, Jammu division of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha. The highest maximum temperature of 45.2°C in the country was recorded at Khajuraho (Madhya Pradesh) & Nagpur (Maharashtra).
