Missing Briton's body found in crocodile-infested river near Bangalore

     Bangalore: The body of a British man who went missing during a trip to a crocodile-infested river near Bangalore has been found. Authorities had been searching for Londoner Michael Easton since the body of his colleague, Ian Turton, was found from the Cauvery River earlier this week. On Saturday the Foreign Office said a second body has now been found. It said it was providing consular assistance to the men's families, The Independent reports. The two friends are understood to have set out on the adventure last Saturday, but failed to return and the emergency services were alerted on Monday. Their damaged raft was found on Wednesday, close to a known danger spot about 56 miles from Bangalore . Meanwhile, a government spokeswoman confirmed the death of two British nationals. "We can confirm the death of two British nationals while on an excursion on the Cauvery River near Bangalore , India . We are providing consular assistance to the families," the paper quoted her, as saying.
