Shah Rukh Khan celebrates 50th birthday with fans in Mumbai
MUMBAI: Bollywood's superstar Shah Rukh Khan turned 50 today. The celebrations started from midnight itself at his Mannat mansion in Mumbai.

Shah Rukh's wife Gauri Khan (45) shared a cute picture of King Khan on Instagram cutting a cake with her and kids Suhana and Aryan. The couple, who celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary last month, had got married in 1991.

Later, the actor also came out to thank his fans waiting outside his mansion to wish him. SRK climbed on the fence and waved to hundreds of his fans and well wishers.

The 'Happy New Year' star also took to social media and posted a selfie with the crowd.

After the celebration at home, he interacted directly with his fans. Fans waited outside Mannat in queue. "At 50 I don't feel the pressure of anything. There is no legacy to carry forward. I came to Mumbai with 1500 rupees that I had earned from 'Fauji'," he remarked in his social media. "I have never been offered any film in the West which was of any value. I would love to do a Hollywood film that places value on our Indian-ness," he said. "The reason I feel that women like me is - I give them so much dignity. I try to dignify every woman I meet," Shah Rukh Khan quipped. SRK is of the opinion that, "Creativity is secular. Art is important...artist not so much. If there is intolerance towards creativity, the nation takes a step back."

"How sweet r all ur msgs. Will reply to each & every1 as the days ends. For now I feel the need to cry with happiness," he responded to all the birthday greetings from his fans.

Shah Rukh will be next seen in Rohit Shetty's 'Dilwale' that also stars Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kirti Sanon.
