Air India’s bonanza offer on Delhi-San Francisco inaugural flight
NEW DELHI: India's national carrier Air India has made inaugural offers on its New Delhi-San Francisco flight which was recently announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at an Indian community gathering at San Jose conceding a long-pending demand of the techies.

The new operatin will be the world's longest non-stop flight, a distance of 14,000 km that takes 18 hours. The Boeing 777-200 long range aircraft is likely to be deployed on the route. (SEE Pic)

As per the offer package, First and Business Class passengers will be awarded complimentary executive class ‘Return Tickets’ on Air India’s domestic network. Air India will give an inaugural offer exclusively for its First and Business Class passengers who would be travelling on the new direct flight to San Francisco from Delhi.

Under the scheme, any First or Business Class passenger travelling to and fro on Air India’s direct flight from Delhi to San Francisco shall be entitled to one Return Ticket (2 Flight Coupons) in Executive Class on Air India’s domestic network. The fare and Airline Fuel Charge will be waived on the complementary award ticket. Applicable taxes will be paid by the passenger.

An additional attraction on offer is that the passenger may also give the award ticket to a nominee. The offer will be available on tickets booked between October 1, 2015 and January 15, 2016 which can be availed on travel between December 2, 2015 and January 31, 2016.

The new Delhi-San Francisco flight likely to be launched on December 2 came soon after Ashwani Lohani assumed charge as the Chairman and Managing Director of the national carrier on August 31 last, succeeding Rohit Nandan. A tourism professional and bureaucrat, Lohani belongs to the 1980 batch of the Indian Railway's Mechanical Engineers service. He had also worked as the Commissioner Tourism & Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation.
