Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) opens Demat account, to accept donations by shares
TIRUPATI: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has opened a Demat account to facilitate acceptance of donations from devotees in the form of shares and securities.

The Central Depositories Service Limited (CDSL) officers met TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva at TTD office in Tirupati on Monday and handed over the related Demat papers to him.

Shares and securities are held electronically in a dematerialized (or Demat account) instead of physical possession of certificates as it used to earlier. The TTD has started its account in the Stock Holding Corporation of India Limited (SHCIL). The account Number allotted to the TTD is 1601010000384828.

CDSL Chairman N Rangachari, MD and CEO PS Reddy, SHCIL MD and CEO NGS Ramesh, additional FACAO O Balaji, CAO Raviprasadudu also met the TTD officials.
