Washington: Indian chef, Vikram Sunderam has been named as the 'Chef of the Year' by the Restaurant
Association Metropolitan Washington, an honor he earned as part of the annual
Rammy Awards gala at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington D.C. According
to the Washington Post, Sunderam, a Bombay native and Executive Chef at Rasika
in Penn Quarter, was nominated for the James Beard Foundation award thrice, and
also had previously been nominated for Chef of the Year in 2009 and 2011 before
winning this year. In 2007, Rasika won the Rammy for new debut restaurant. |
