October 3, 2010 | Ranbir Kapoor attends raising ceremony of Sikh Batallion in Mumbai |
Mumbai: Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor attended the 45th raising ceremony of a Sikh Battalion here over the weekend. The battalion soldiers performed many eye-catching acrobatic activities on the occasion. But the sword fighting and jumping through a ring on fire was the main attraction. "I can say with full pride that there is nothing better than
our Sikh battalion. All of us thank you, because of you, we feel secure and safe,"
said Kapoor. "I just want to give you a big welcome to Mumbai that you have come
all the way from Jammu and Kashmir and I will pray God that you live with happiness,
peace and with fun," he added. The batallion also performed the 'bhangra' except
songs and dances that enthralled the audience. "They are the real heroes of our
India . I danced with Punjabi dancers of the Sikh battalion. They are wonderful
dancers and they dance very nice. We do so many rehearsals but they are one take
artistes and I felt very nice dancing with them," said Kapoor.
