| July 24, 2010 | ‘Inflation’ dominates INIFD’s fashion show in Nagpur | |
Nagpur: In a unique way to fascinate attention, fashion models walked the ramp wearing vegetables and holding banner
against inflation at a fashion show held here on Saturday. Budding fashion designers
of the International Institute of Fashion Design(INIFD), Nagpur exhibited their
talent and skills at the fashion show, organised by the institute. Accompanied
by live music, the outfits showed on the catwalk stayed true to the theme of inflation.
“Due to inflation we are facing lot of trouble nowadays. Student designers have
tried to present this through their creations. I hope that students are successful
in passing on this message via this fashion show,” said Alicia Raaut, one of the
models at the fashion show. Beside inflation theme, the models also showcased
other colourful and fascinating costumes designed by the student designers. The
models walking the ramp included noted actor and model Zulfi Sayeed and Shawar
Ali from Mumbai. Fancy fabrics and remarkable patterns were a draw for the fashion
conscious and fashion lovers in the audience. Abhijeet Sawant of the Indian Idol
fame gave live performance at the event. |
