Kuala Lumpur: The Malaysian capital will host the final leg of the Islamic Fashion Festival 2010 (IFF) tour
later this year. Themed "Maharaja" the show will feature contemporary Muslim wear
with designs highlighting Indian influences from the Mughal dynasty. The six-day
festival will kick off on Nov 7. "We have gifted designers who are able to infuse
traditional styles with a modern sensibility," The Star Online quoted Datin Seri
Rosmah Mansor, the festival's patron, as saying. The festival was first organised
in 2006 by Datuk Raja Rezza Shah and has since helped to put fashionable Muslim
wear in the spotlight. |
