Salamat Datang Ke Malaysia!

PAHANG

Pahang is peninsular Malaysia's largest State, and its Capital is called Kuantan. The Cameroon Highlands, of central peninsula, is Malaysia's green bowl that supplies vegetables to its cities. Cameroon tea too is something special around the world. Pahang silk, shellcraft and gemstones are tourist items.

The Genting Highlands has developed hill resorts. The Taman Negara National Park has jungles said to be 130 million years old! Suitable for an exotic holiday, all types of jungle activities are undertaken here. Adventure trips are also conducted in the jungles around the Tasek Bera and Tasik Cini fresh water bodies. The Kota Gelanggi and Gunung Senyum caves, said to be 150 m years old, have something eerie about them. There are some famous beaches near Kuantan: Cherating, Teluk Chempedak ( which has facilities for water sports), Beserah, Balok and Chendor. One of the best beaches in the world is Cherating where Asia's first Club Med is located.

Two hours by boat from Mersing town or Tanjung Gemok is Tioman island, the world's most fantastic. It has  good reefs for scuba diving and clear water for swimming. Some popular sites for river rafting are: Endau river, Jeram Besu and Lipis river in Pahang and Tembeling river in Taman Negara.
