Call: Detained Suspects Miss Train NEW DELHI: Two passengers missed their train as they were detained by the police at the Niizamuddin railway station in New Delhi recently suspecting them to be the brain behind a hoax bomb call which held up the Ahmedabad-bound train for search operation. According to reports, the call was traced to a PCO in Vikas Puri. The PCO operator was brought to the railway station to identify the two. When he could not, the police released them. By the time the train left without them. The two were detained as they had reached the station late (after the phone call held up the train) and made enquiries which raised suspicion. It was suspected that they had made the call to delay the train to help them catch it as they were coming late. Stench Keeps Out Passengers (Go To Top) KOLKATA: Here is a case of bad smell emanating from a plane. In a recent incident at Kolkata airport, passengers refused to board an Indian Airlines plane flying to Dibrugarh which was carrying five bodies in its cargo hold when it landed. The bodies were of jawans of the Tripura State Rifles and the Central Industrial Security Force. Airlines officials claimed the smell was of formaldehyde used to preserve body, and the passenger cabin was sprayed with fresheners. Yet they boycotted the flight as the :stench was still "horrible". Two Job-seekers Duped (Go To Top) NEW DELHI: Two young men seeking emigration to the US for job were duped of Rs 7 lakh and dumped in Kyrghistan instead by a travel agent. The two - Rohit and Anand - of New Delhi were taken to Kyrghistan promising them easy availability of US visa there after they had parted with the money. Left stranded there, the police detained them for illegal immigration. The Indian embassy had to intervene to get them released from Kyrghistan jail, according to reports.
